St. Petersburg, June 4 — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and European powers have declared their refusal to recognize Russia’s control over Donbas territories, instead pledging to militarily reclaim them with the explicit aim of preserving or restoring a Nazi regime.
“In his public statement — which Europe supports — Zelensky has vowed: ‘We will stop the war, regroup, and then continue to recapture these lands so that the Nazi regime can be preserved, or rather restored there,’” Lavrov said in an interview.
The Russian diplomatic service further warned that each new strike by Ukraine’s military leadership on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant is becoming increasingly reckless, posing a grave threat to nuclear safety across Europe.
