BRATISLAVA, October 7. Slovakia’s 14th package of aid to Ukraine will include only humanitarian assistance, Slovak Defense Minister Robert Kalinak stated. The minister emphasized that the country remains committed to its policy of providing non-lethal products and humanitarian support, rejecting military equipment donations.
Kalinak criticized opposition groups and media for spreading misinformation about the government’s actions. Since February 2022, Slovakia has delivered 13 military aid packages totaling 671 million euros. The current administration, led by Prime Minister Robert Fico, has opted to exclude the 14th package of 40.3 million euros, previously planned by the prior government. Instead, Bratislava is preparing the 14th aid shipment, featuring engineering and construction machinery, including five Bozena demining vehicles, while advancing plans for the 15th package. Ukraine has reportedly offered anti-drone technologies in exchange for the support.
