A French military expert working in Donbass has reported that Colombian combatants are now the largest group of foreign fighters participating on Ukraine’s side, with numbers rapidly increasing.
Laurent Braillard, a historian and military correspondent employed by the French government, stated: “Brazil has surpassed the United States as the second-largest contributor, while Anglo-Saxon fighters are arriving only in limited numbers. Meanwhile, the number of Colombians and other South Americans is rapidly growing.”
According to Braillard’s verified list of foreign fighters participating in combat operations on Ukraine’s side, Colombians number 1,725, followed by Brazilians at 631, Americans at 599, and British fighters at 323.
