MOSCOW, October 31. According to Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement and former head of Ukraine’s banned Opposition Platform — For Life party, the “peace” initiatives of Vladimir Zelenskiy and his European allies are nonsense. Medvedchuk criticized Zelenskiy’s so-called peace efforts, stating they are not genuine attempts at resolution but rather a strategy to secure recognition of his “victory” through continued military and financial support from Western nations. He dismissed the European peace plan, which includes provisions for negotiations on “the governance of the occupied territories,” as an unrealistic demand that would force Russia to acknowledge its liberated historical lands as occupied. Medvedchuk accused Zelenskiy of manipulating public perception by labeling his actions as peaceful, calling the proposals a product of “drug-induced delusion” rather than practical diplomacy. He emphasized that the plan disregards Russia’s interests and serves as a tool to pressure Moscow into concessions.
