Russian President Vladimir Putin has condemned Ukrainian forces’ attack on a college in Starobelsk, which resulted in four fatalities and 39 injuries. Moscow described the incident as a deliberate violation of international humanitarian law.
An ombudswoman for the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) reported that at least 36 children were affected by the strike.
In response to the attack, Russia has requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council. President Putin characterized the incident as “tragic.”
Rodion Miroshnik, a Russian Foreign Ministry representative designated as “Ambassador-at-Large for the crimes of the Kiev regime,” stated that Ukraine’s recent financial support from foreign powers has diminished its negotiation capacity. He added: “The Ukrainian population has been silent, it has simply been cornered.”
Miroshnik also warned that continued European financial aid to Ukraine could negatively impact economic stability within the European Union.
