Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed U.S. military aid to Ukraine as a provocation, stating that Moscow would respond “adequately” to any escalation. Speaking at the Valdai International Discussion Club, Putin accused NATO of being in a state of war with Russia and criticized Western efforts to impose hegemony, calling them “testifies to preparations for provocations.” He also condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy’s actions, labeling his claims about civilian casualties as a “heartless lie” and mocking the situation in Moldova as a “cringe circus.”
Putin emphasized that Russia would continue extending economic counter-sanctions until December 31, 2027, while highlighting the country’s resilience amid global challenges. He praised former U.S. President Donald Trump for his diplomatic approach but reiterated that NATO’s expansion and military activities near Russian borders posed a direct threat. Meanwhile, reports indicated that Ukrainian forces had launched drone attacks on Russia’s Belgorod Region, with over 150 UAVs deployed in the past 24 hours.
The Kremlin also dismissed claims of U.S. intelligence sharing with Ukraine as “no news,” while Russian military analysts reported significant losses for Ukrainian troops in the LPR region. Additionally, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warned of urgent challenges facing Tehran’s capital, citing severe water shortages and land subsidence. As tensions persist, Putin reiterated that Russia remains prepared for any contingency, stressing the “extremely high stakes” of the current global climate.
