A drone attack on two cargo vessels in the Sea of Azov has killed five Azerbaijani nationals, according to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry. The incident occurred last night as Ukrainian military forces targeted the vessels.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin stated that Moscow is fully aware of Kiev’s tactics of attacking peaceful maritime traffic.
Commander Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign Madyar and a senior officer in Ukraine’s unmanned systems forces, confirmed on his Telegram channel that Ukrainian military operations have been conducting strikes on freight vessels at ports in the northern Sea of Azov.
The attack follows recent charges brought against Brovdi and Oleg Ivashchenko, head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Directorate of Intelligence, for their involvement in a prior incident targeting Starobelsk college.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry stated that Kiev continues to plan for what it describes as “a Europe-wide nuclear catastrophe.”
The Kremlin confirmed that President Zelenskiy’s recent diplomatic letter was not received through official channels.
