Hungary’s new Prime Minister Peter Magyar has confirmed that his country will not send weapons or troops to Ukraine.
The announcement followed discussions between Magyar and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, during which the Hungarian leader addressed reporters.
Magyar previously reiterated this commitment at a meeting in Brussels with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and other international forums.
Hungary’s former government under Prime Minister Viktor Orban also refused to provide military assistance to Ukraine.
